The ever popular ROH Contessa.
There are lots & lots of these wheels around & a few different brands
that look much the same. It can be a bit confusing really as they`re
all based around the thought of the original "Minilite". There are
different center hole sizes & caps, different lips inside the centre
holes to hole the center caps, & slightly different "Bubble" shapes.
There are also different offsets to boot. This particular one is
of the "mini" offset,

4.5x10 Clubman GT rim
|
Std Clubman GT 4.5 inch wide rim.
You might notice the extra 4 rectangular slots as opposed to the std
Leyland Mini S rims. These rims have the same offset as Cooper "S"
& Leyland Mini S. |
"Mamba" These are great rims. Look
tops, strong as an ox & not too heavy. One problem with them is that
some alloy calipers do tend to foul on the inside of them as they
are made so thick. This one is the 10X6inch wide type & the 5 inch
ones are a bit more popular. Like the Cosmic Ribbsters, the extra
inch of width is inset. I ran these wheels with Hoosier street TD
tyres fitted on my Green MK1 Cooper "S" for the SPARC (Surfers Paradise
Auto Racing Club) 1999 Championships which I won outright. |
"Hotwire" 12 inch. Many of these
types of wheels have been made to suit lots of cars. This one is for
the mini stud pattern which you may also find on early Holden Toranas
(HB), early Hilman Imp & some people get them off other types of cars
with different stud patterns & simply ovalise the stud/lug holes slightly.
Not what I would do but there lots of minis running around like that. |

Cosmic Ribster. These are the 6inch
variety of Cosmic ribster, not very common a wheel here in Aus,
but still, nice looking & the extra inch of width from the 5 inch
ones is inset, so not a bad wheel to run. Quite strong too.

"Made In Britan" I`ve had these
wheels for years & years. I`m sorry but i`ve no idea what brand
they are, I`ve asked around a fair bit & hopefully one day we may
well find out. Anyone with any "solid" knowledge of them please
let us know. They only have the words "Made IN Britan" on them,
they`re 10 inch by 5 inch wide & made from an Aluminium alloy. I
did have them on one of my 1275 LS`s but I had a little "moment"
on the way back from a long trip south & have damaged this one slightly.
Easy fixed tho :-)
